Pryg-Skok
Here is my illustrations of song "Pryg-Skok" written by poet and musician Egor Letov.All illustrations are 10x10cm engravings prints which was bound together into 3 book originals.This images were printed in "engraving on carton" technique which is similar to linocut .Cover and Layout were done in Indesign in minimalistic DIY way.
Pryg-Skok literally translate as Hop-Frog and in this case it symbolize transmission between life and death.Also lyrics was inspired by Siberian ocult rituals and verbal folk magic.In my project I tried to create dark vibe and grim nature of lyrics.I done it in expressive abstract style to interpet those symbols & methaphors.
